MakerHub

Digital Farbication & Maker Space

The MakerHub is a Digital Fabrication and Maker space where creativity takes shape and innovation thrives but it's more than just a place to build. While it offers tools and equipment for prototyping, crafting, and experimentation, it also serves as a shared resource hub for the wider community. From students designing projects to locals borrowing tools or equipment for home improvements, DIY repairs, or personal creations, the MakerHub is designed to support a diverse range of needs. It blends hands-on making with practical lending offering everything from laser cutters and 3D printers to everyday tools and gadgets making it accessible, useful, and impactful beyond the walls of the space. With nothing like it currently in Burwood, the MakerHub fills a vital role, promoting sustainability, resource-sharing, and community empowerment. Access to MakerHub is available through a simple pre-booking system. Users must book a session before entering to ensure space and equipment availability. Open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, MakerHub offers flexible hours to suit a range of schedules, making it easy for students, makers, and community members to plan their visits and get creating.

The decision to establish a digital fabrication space in Burwood is motivated by the absence of such facilities in the area. With the nearest makerspace located in Marrickville, we have chosen to create one in Burwood to better support students and small businesses.
